LED Strip Lights for Kitchens

Plan under-cabinet and accent lighting by checking worktop coverage, cleaning exposure and equipment placement.

Separate task light from accent light

Under-cabinet lighting needs to illuminate the working area; plinth or shelf lighting may be mainly decorative. Mark the intended purpose before selecting a strip. If a measured light level is important, request confirmed output data and an installation assessment.

Test the mounting position

Place a sample where it will sit under the cabinet and check it while standing at the worktop. Look for shadows from cabinet edges and reflections in glossy surfaces. COB and regular strips can look different through the same diffuser.

Check moisture and cleaning exposure

A dry shelf and an area beside a sink need different assessments. IP20 is not a waterproof option. A higher strip IP selection does not automatically protect cut ends, connections or the driver. Confirm the protection of the complete assembly for the actual location.

Compare white-light tones

View a sample beside your worktop, tiles and existing lights. The strip catalogue uses warm, natural and cool labels; confirm the exact Kelvin value before matching other fittings. Keep drivers accessible and away from unsuitable heat or moisture exposure.
